One of our prototypes routinely causes the black VEX pieces holding down the middle fence support to pop up out of the playing field. The fence does not break apart; it just got lifted up a tad too much. Does this classify as “damaging field elements?” I realize that you can"t list every possible case, but the more specific the manual is, the less likely it is for different judges to make different interpretations of the same rule. thanks.
Unfortunately it’s very difficult to issue blanket rulings for the myriad of potential scenarios that could occur during a match. If your robot is causing the fence supports to pop out of their holes, your robot is definitely at risk of being called for damaging the field.
